Mike McCormick was our Madison Lions Club speaker on Tuesday, April 29th. Mike of Union Church serves as the 10th president of the Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation. Under Mikeās progressive leadership, the 99-year old organization has benefited from a growing membership and innovative programs designed to meet the needs of farmers and other members in a rapidly changing world. Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) is the largest general farm organization in the state, with more than 182,000 member-families in 82 county Farm Bureaus.
Mike is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He and his wife, Suezan, have been married for 33 years and are active members of Union Church Presbyterian Church.
Mikeās background in cow/calf and timber farming was intriguing to learn. Those skills plus his degree at the University of Southern Mississippi was a perfect fit for him to be at the helm of the Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation.
Thank you Mike for a wonderful and insightful presentation.
