The Gary Sinise Grant to Leader Dog

Leader Dog is proud to announce that the Gary Sinise Foundation has awarded Leader Dog with a $350,000 grant to support our service of veterans, defenders and first responders who are blind or visually impaired with highly skilled guide dogs.

As part of the grant, the Gary Sinise Foundation is sponsoring seven Future Leader Dogs. The first two puppies are Labrador retriever siblings Forrest and Jenny, named after the characters in the film Forrest Gump in which Gary Sinise co-starred as Lieutenant Dan Taylor.

The Gary Sinise Foundation will be following Future Leader Dogs Forrest and Jenny as they grow on their social media platforms, and everyone is invited to follow along as Forrest and Jenny grow up to be guide dogs.  We are proud to announce that the Gary Sinise Foundation has awarded Leader Dog with a $350,000 grant to support our service of veterans, defenders and first responders who are blind or visually impaired with highly skilled guide dogs.
